He is very professional and hands on throughout the planning process, and kept us on schedule throughout our wedding night without making us feel rushed. We were able to dance and enjoy the time with our guests without a care in the world, and he read the room perfectly so that we didn’t notice any lulls on the dance floor! Ronnie also handled our last minute adjustments because of COVID efficiently and professionally, and worked with our wedding coordinator to make sure the night ran smoothly. He took our music requests and blended all of them seamlessly into the playlist for the night so that everyone got to hear what they wanted. We cannot recommend Ronnie or Musically Yours enough!

He is also great at giving advise on where the music, dance floor AND food & bars should be placed to enhance the event and make it easier to get to dance floor, etc. I have also been included in birthday parties that Ronnie has DJ’d. I was most impressed how much effort he put forth to create just the right party that the hosts requested! ALWAYS a good time if Ronnie is IN THE HOUSE!!!

We originally met in late 2019 or early 2020 (pre-pandemic) since our original wedding date was October 2020. Ronnie was the first and only DJ we met with since we had such a good feeling about him. And were we right. His pricing was amazing and well worth every penny given the service and professionalism he provided. We saw a few DJ’s prices online and they seemed like extortion. Some wanted double or triple what Ronnie charged and they had nowhere near the amount of positive reviews he did on all the wedding sites. When we met he gave us a complete packet of not just things we needed regarding music, but a wedding timeline of things to do and when all the way up to the day of. It was the perfect checklist to keep us on track and ahead of the game. Even though we postponed until October 2021 he always checked in to see if there was anything we needed and to just see how things were going. That change of date was no issue either as he easily carried over our deposits, we gave him the new date and he had the new contract within an hour. Whenever we had a question he responded within minutes. I even sent him a request for a song change 10pm the night before the wedding and he responded in 30 seconds with “no problem”. I do not think he knows the words “no” or “can’t”. At the event he was there hours before the start time setting up to make sure everything went smooth. He was dressed to impress and was a complete and true professional. When we needed a mic for speeches he was there. When the maid of honor even needed a glass to toast with he was there. He had people dancing all night long. He read the room perfectly and every song he played was perfect. His introductions were amazing and everything segued and flowed so perfectly. There was never a dull moment and people had a blast dancing the night away. If i ever need a DJ again or someone I know needs one I am making one call and that’s it. Just look at all the 5 star reviews and they speak for themselves. Ronnie was there for us every step of the way. The service was amazing, the pricing was amazing. His responses to all our questions and changes were instant. He was nothing but an utmost professional and made our wedding perfect. We could not have chosen a better person for the job and there is only one DJ i would chose in the future. Ronnie went above and beyond expectations and did not disappoint.

They are fairly priced, beyond professional and had everyone dancing on the dance floor the whole time!! Their music choices were spot on! He was also more than just music, he made us think about how we wanted to manage the flow of the event itself, which we never would have thought of ourselves. Ronnie also nailed the musical vibe we were hoping for. We sent him a few playlists leading up to the event so he could get a feel for our (generally older) musical taste and he worked with our taste, added his own flavor to it, and our party turned into a great time; the people in their 20s were dancing right alongside the people in their 80s. Not only did Ronnie deliver exactly what we were hoping for—a non-stop dance party that would have guests of all ages on the floor—but he helped keep the night running seamlessly by being a great MC, sprinting into action at the first sign of any tech issues, and fielding the requests of our more enthusiastic guests. Music can make or break a wedding, and Ronnie really took our event to the next level. Immediately after speaking with him on the phone the first time, my husband said, “This is the DJ we have to have.” What made Ronnie stand out on our wedding day was his immense flexibility. We had originally wanted live music during our ceremony, but decided relatively last minute against it. Ronnie gladly took on that role and prepared pre-ceremony, processional, recessional music for us. Additionally, it was very important to my parents that the father-daughter dance was a Chinese song that is special to my family – Ronnie had no problems obtaining the music and playing the exact snippet we wanted. When it came time for dancing and partying, Ronnie played a great variety of songs that kept us all having fun. I will say that he was on the pricier end of DJs we looked at and interviewed, so that is something to keep in mind. However, in our opinions, Musically Yours is SUCH a worthwhile investment for any wedding day. We have no regrets and would recommend him to anyone!

Ronnie is non-judgmental, punctual, and is an effective communicator who sports a genuinely warm smile when in conversation, which contrasts nicely to his serious and focused demeanor when it comes to his job and his craft. Finding a DJ for our wedding was a daunting task because we had a large, diverse group encompassing all ages, ethnicities, and musical tastes. During our initial meeting, it was clear Ronnie was very organized and he efficiently covered a lot of ground without wasting time. We sent him some ethnic songs to play for our wedding and he did a fantastic job in incorporating them at the right time and order without any hand-holding, which was impressive considering the songs were in another language. Ronnie’s MC skills are just as good: he has a clear, well-toned voice on the mic and is stellar at time management and keeping the party moving along with dance sets, games, and well-incorporated stories. He is entertaining but also considerate, and we were pleased when we received compliments about the DJ from every group that attended our wedding. The volume of everything was perfect; the uplighting was also beautiful and fit the venue seamlessly. Everything about Ronnie was professional and we never had to worry about him in regards to being able to get the job done, and that was something we knew after just one hour of talking to him. This was important to us because we were planning our Connecticut wedding all the way from North Carolina. Not only does he have a great music selection but he encouraged us to provide song requests and even honored our short “please do not play these songs” list. He is professional and very organized. The information sheets he required us to fill out inherently helped us to organize the flow of the ceremony. Since he’s been doing weddings for so long he had insight/tips that we couldn’t have known about and that helped us iron out the order of ceremonies. Not only is Ronnie is very good on the fly and adjusts well to unforeseen issues but he helps to keep others calm in a moment that could become chaos. In our case, our families and friends coming together made this a multicultural event it was important to us to have English and Spanish music selections and Ronnie created the perfect balance of both. We were able to give him mild parameters of what we didn’t want and then put our trust in him to play within those boundaries to keep the energy high and let our style to thrive. He even brought some new sound with his own unique mixes. His emcee skills equally match his DJ’ing skills. Comments: Of all the vendors we worked with for our wedding, you were among the very best overall. Responsiveness: No complaints! Ronnie consistently responded to emails within a couple days, usually less. Not once did I need to follow up to get a response! If anything, Ronnie followed up with me a couple times, and he asked for clarification when needed so that no false assumptions about our vision for our wedding day were made. Professionalism: Top notch. Considering all the times I needed to ask something more than once to make sure I had it right, Ronnie was very patient and strived to ensure my new husband and I knew all pertinent information from our very first conversation through the wedding day itself. Value: You really do get what you pay for when it comes to a wedding DJ. Ronnie is admittedly more expensive than most DJs we researched, but he is flexible and will work with you to come up with a plan that fits your budget. Even if it’s a bit more than you had initially budgeted for a DJ, consider cutting elsewhere so you can book Ronnie! My husband and I are SO glad we invested in the DJ department for our reception. Quality of service: Ronnie explained that he can provide music but that in order to have a killer party, we (my husband and I) and our guests would need to meet him halfway. My husband and I were on the dance floor pretty much all night…and so were our guests! We trusted Ronnie to play whatever would keep our guests on the dance floor (minus the Do Not Play list), and he did not disappoint. I’ve never really enjoyed dancing at weddings before, but I had so much fun dancing at my own that I’ll be the guest that my friends won’t be able to drag off the dance floor in the future! Flexibility: This is what really makes Ronnie stand out from other wedding DJs and other wedding vendors in general. We had arranged to have karaoke for our guests at the end of the wedding reception. No joke: at 9 PM during our reception, our venue’s day-of coordinator informed my husband and me that their karaoke machine was “broken” and that she was “very sorry”. Considering the fact that our invitations noted that we would have karaoke–and many guests had told us how excited they were for that part upon receiving their invitations–having to tell our guests that there would be no karaoke was unacceptable. Long story short (too late, I know), Ronnie graciously offered to stay at the venue for a few extra hours to provide music for karaoke. The only significant difference between our karaoke and conventional karaoke (aside from Ronnie managing the music) was that guests read lyrics off their smartphones instead of a TV. Our guests LOVED it! Ronnie has our most heartfelt thanks for stepping up to save the day.

Ronnie helped keep everything on schedule, coordinated with the other vendors, and was flexible enough that everything went smoothly. The music selections we made were molded into the overall program, all the while taking a few special requests to keep the bride happy! When we stepped out for pictures, the first few songs had played and after everyone sat down to eat, it seems like they were reluctant to get up and dance, but when we arrived back inside 20 minutes later, the dance floor was packed! Ronnie’s energy, skill and enthusiasm helped our wedding be exactly what we were looking for, a great time with all of our family and friends. John and I didn’t want a DJ that screamed cheesy, and we also didn’t want someone who was going to talk and talk all night. Ronnie was exactly what we were looking for. We didn’t want a lot of common reception stuff (no entrance, no first dance, no parent dances, no bouquet toss) and Ronnie was super cool with that. He made sure to coordinate with both Martha and our photographers what our timeline was so that photo opportunities wouldn’t be missed and always returned my emails or phone calls right away during the planning process. He was also very helpful a day or 2 before the wedding when I was still struggling with music for the bridal party to walk in to. He had a great suggestion for us, and it worked out well. Several of our guests raved about how great the music was, and that he did a phenomenal job. The music during dinner was at a perfect volume, I didn’t have to shout to talk to guests. There were a few people who thought the music was too loud once the dancing started, but that might have been a result of the layout (2 tables were close to the speakers) and not the DJ.

Musically yours gave us just what we wanted and asked for. He was able to take our wedding which didnt really have a set schedule and could have been a bit confusing and was able to take control and set the flow for the whole night. What we all really enjoyed was how great he was at reading the crowd. There wasn’t a minute the dance floor was not packed with people smiling and having a great time. Ronnie is truly amazing at what he does. I felt completely comfortable putting all the control in his hands and knowing it would be flawless. He gave me a new modern perspective of what a DJ is. Time was running short when I came across Ronnie Mazal from Musically Yours while doing a web search. Upon reading the reviews on the web (over 30), I was surprised by the consistency of great accolades from the individuals who had hired Ronnie for their event. I thought to myself either Ronnie was something special or he had a lot of relatives writing reviews. After meeting Ronnie and based on the job he did at our wedding, I can confirm that Ronnie is in fact something special. We met with Ronnie a few weeks before our ceremony. I was expecting to discuss what songs would be played, but instead Ronnie choreographed our entire wedding day from the moment we arrived until the goodbyes. Ronnie shared many ideas totally out of the realm of providing musical entertainment. I’m into top 5’s, so here are my top 5 reasons why I would recommend you…. 1. You were prepared. Prior to the wedding, you gave good advice, had good ideas (ex. Where to do the speeches, when to do them, the couples dance, etc.), verified pronunciations, etc. 2. You controlled the vibe well by reading the crowd and playing music that they responded to. 3. You use good judgment. I especially appreciate that you ran it by me when you got that odd request from one of my guests to make an announcement about someone’s time served in the military. To me, that would have been super odd and thank you for being polite to the guest yet having the judgment to quickly ask for my approval. 4. You looked/acted professional, dressed appropriately (not some goofy DJ) and you have a great DJ voice. 5. You delivered. Bottom line, everyone enjoyed the wedding.
